Infectious Disease Information and Precautions
We recognize that nursing homes face a high risk of contracting and spreading infectious diseases. Our primary concern remains the health and well-being of each resident, along with ensuring the well-being of our staff so they can continue providing quality care. We consistently implement precautionary measures and adhere to CDC guidelines, while also staying informed through updates from state and local officials. Please take a moment to review the precautions we are actively taking to safeguard against infectious diseases. These measures include:
- Maintaining transparent and ongoing communication with staff, residents, and visitors.
- Displaying prominent signs and reminders throughout the facility.
- Sharing verbal responses from staff with residents and visitors.
- Providing information updates on our website.
Our workforce protection measures encompass:
- Regularly screening employees and residents for symptoms of acute respiratory illness such as fever, cough, and difficulty breathing.
- Implementing non-punitive and flexible sick leave policies.
- Encouraging sick employees to stay home and facilitating replacement staff arrangements.
- Training staff in the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
In safeguarding our residents, we are:
- Isolating residents displaying respiratory symptoms from others.
- Suspending field trips and activities outside the facility for symptomatic residents.
- Arranging activities that allow residents to maintain safe distances from others as needed.
- Offering in-room dining options to minimize the risk of disease transmission.
- Increasing the frequency of cleaning in common areas, including therapy rehabilitation, dining, activity, and lobby areas.
We deeply appreciate the trust and confidence you place in us to care for your family members.
